Coropuna is the third highest mountain in Peru and it's 6445 meters above sea level and is 150 km far from Arequipa going northwest. Some items from Pre-Inca and Inca culture have been found at 6000 meters and it confirms the inhabitance of those cultures

Coropuna is a quechua word and means "reflected on the plateau"

First day: Arequipa - Toro Muerto - Majes Valley - Pucuncho

At 6 am we pick you up from the hotel, and then we travel in the 4WD. After 3 hours we will be at Toro Muerto in which you can see te primitive paintings. Then we will go to Majes Valley and towards Chuquibamba(3000 m). About 2 pm we will arrive to Pucuncho Village (4400 meters), here we will camp

Second Day: Base Camp (5200m)

At 7 in the morming we wake up and have breakfast. Then we start walking to the base camp which is at 5200 meters above sea level, this could take around 6 hours. you will have plenty of time to take pictures and rest for the next day.

Third Day: Summit (6445 m.a.s.l or 21145 ft )

At 3 in the morming we wake up and have breakfast.We take our climbing equipment and start going to the summit which is at 6445 meters above sea level. Once at the top you will have time to see other mountains like Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca and Solimana(6310m). After some time spent there you will walk for about 4 hours to get the first base camp. Yu can walk down some more to find a warmer base camp.Camping there.

Fourth Day: Base Camp - Arequipa or other destination

At a previously arranged time you will get ready to go back to the place you started, the car will be waiting for you. Then you will travel back to Arequipa( 8 hours or so)

Optional: Stay an extra night in majes Valley and do white water rafting next day. Feel free to ask about this.
